Well, here goes nothing. We (Brad and Himself) decided to jump in and get this thing started. Here is what we (Brad, John William, James, Michael, Hannah, and the kids) accomplished on Saturday. Enjoy!

  • Truman's Isaiah 40:28-31

  • Cozy's Isaiah 40:28-31

  • Corbin's Words
  • Cozy Missing Mommy

    Brad here (for once).
Friday night, Hannah left for TN to help Micah make her baby announcements (she faked labor so Hannah and Claudia would come down). Anyway, Cozy cried a little after we prayed that night for Mommy.
Saturday evening, on my way home from yet another victorious day of volleyball where I scored many a point and played very ...sorry, on our way home, with Cozy up front with me, I spoke to Hannah on the phone to get the update. Cozy seemed to me to be deep in thought so I asked her what was on her mind. After a couple of "nothing"s and "just something", she says "I'm thinking of something you love very much." I am ashamed to say, my first responses were actually my travel coffee cup (sitting on the dash), and the ipod. I thought of saying my new volleyball before I realized my daughter is not near as shallow as me. So, my next audible guess was "my little Cozette." Wrong again. "Is it something I can hold in my hands?" "Nope" When, I guessed "Hannah" I was informed that she's not little enough to hold in my hands. Don't know about that.
Anyway, It was nice to see that she recognized I missed and loved Hannah. I hope this gives the kids the security they need to get them to the point they better understand God's faithful and true love for them.

Audio Files for your Listening Enjoyment

First try at this. Audio files are of the Kids. Don't listen at the website, it might be sped up and it makes the kids sound like they haven't slept and have eaten only things they are allergic to! That was how it sounded on my computer. You can download the file and listen in itunes or quicktime or maybe some other application.
Corbin is at this link. He is showing off his VOCAB.

I just cut his hair this week. Brad likes it better long. I like it short. Any other opinions???

    Labor Day weekend

Well, we do it big!! We don't just take off Monday, we do the whole weekend! Instead of "tenting" (the traditional Berthold Labor Day) we rented a cabin in Branson, MO.

Started off the trip by leaving at 5AM Friday. The plan was "I'm sure the kids will go back to sleep" but of course, they didn't. Tru did finally covered his head and slept for a little while right before we arrived!!!! Cozette, on the other hand, didn't let even the thought of sleep cross her mind - she was too excited.

    Our Families

    The Brad Berthold's

    The Mr and Mrs Berthold's

    The Garrett's

    The Girls

    The Guys

    Silver $ City

The amusement park was definitely a hit! The bigger the better as far as Coz and Tru were concerned. Brad had more fun taking them on the rides and watching their reactions than getting to ride himself!!!

Corbin's first ride. I thought he was going to cry but Ashlyn did so well with him! The next time he rode with Brad he acted like a pro!! Pretty funny to watch.

Cozette and Truman's first roller coaster.

Tea cup ride with Mom. I could hardly stand up afterwards but the kids had no trouble RUNNING to Brad! :-)

Brad and Cozy loving being together.

"It's the end of the day..."

    The Cabin

Our cabin was awesome. Brad found it, of course!! :-) Pool table, hot tub, jaccuzzi, washer/dryer (my personal favorite "extra" :-) were all included.
